I would like to know a little bit more about the Kindle.
1) Can you go on the internet with it (e.g. go on Google, Facebook etc?)
2) How Do You Download The Books?
3) How Much Does It Cost To Buy The Books?
4) Is It Easy To Read (Can You Zoom In, I Have Bad Eyesight)
5) Do You Need Internet Access To Read The Books?
6) Can You Use It On A Aircraft?
7) IF You Can Use The Internet Like Normal What Does It Do? (What Websites Can You Access?)

What Is A Tablet Like (e.g. iPad?) Would This Be Better For What I Am Looking For?
I Need Something That Has Books On It That Is Easy To Read And Can Go On The Internet Would It Be Better To Buy A Tablet Computer?

1) Yes, but it’s not ideal for web browsing. It’s OK to quickly look at e-mail or facebook but you wouldn’t want to use it as your main browser.
2) Download them from Amazon or sites that have free e-books.
3) Depends on the book.
4) It’s very easy to read, much easier than an LCD screen like a monitor or tablet. It uses a display called e-ink which is much better for reading.
5) You need internet access to download books onto the Kindle but once they’re downloaded you can read them without internet. I use the Kindle PC program to download them onto my laptop and then the Kindle and the Kindle app on my phone automatically sync.
6) Yes.
7) You can access the whole internet, but it’s really not designed to be a serious web browser. The screen is designed for reading books a page at a time, so things like scrolling and video don’t work well because the screen refresh is slow.
If you’re going to spend most of your time on the internet then a tablet is better. If you’re going to be mostly reading books then a Kindle is definitely better. They’re quite different devices – which one you choose depends on what you want to do most.
