I was thinking about getting a Wacom Bamboo Capture Pen Tablet (CTH470) soon, and I can’t get Photoshop because it’s too expensive just to play around with, so I was thinking, is it compatible with paint? It’s already on my computer and it’s FREE! Please help(:
NOTE: Do not post saying “Google it, or Yahoo it.” I did. No answers. and don’t say “I don’t know.” Only helpful answers! Thanks.

Yes but Paint doesn’t support pressure sensitivity.
There are plenty of other free choices for drawing with a Bamboo Capture – for a start it comes with Elements in the box. Check out what’s in the box here: http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/Bamboo/…
Then you could also use these, all free, and all support pressure sensitivity:
GIMP http://www.gimp.org (Similar to Photoshop)
MyPaint http://mypaint.intilinux.com/ (Drawing application)
Paint.NET http://www.getpaint.net (more advanced than MS Paint, but still simple)
InkScape http://www.inkscape.org (vector image editor).
It’s compatible with anything, to a degree. You can move the pointer when you hover over the tablet’s surface with the pen. It’s just like if you were moving the pointer with your mouse. When you push down with the nib of the pen then it’s just like clicking and holding the right mouse button.
You can use it to draw in Paint. Most tablets are pressure sensitive. You can vary the width or intensity of your strokes by pressing down with the pen on the tablet. It only works with programs that are designed with pressure sensitive tablets in mind. Paint doesn’t have that feature so it doesn’t matter how hard you press.
