Why is it that tablets, track pads, touchscreen smart phones, “app stores” et c. have been out for many years before Apple “invented” them but people think that Apple is paving the way for new technology?
And why is it that Samsung and LG make most of the hardware for Apple products but people think that Apple hardware is “better than everyone else’s?”
Its just something that has always baffled me and I have always wanted an explanation.

imagine you are a chemist.u make a significant discovery and u post it on a science journal.the journal is not very popular and no one gives much of attention except a veeeeery popular,worldwide known chemist.he steals your idea and publish it in news.he becomes even more popular and brighter,he gets oscar,he is written in history and for many days everybody is discussing about the discovery.this popular chemist is apple
Apple came up with a bunch of applications (apps) and functionality for the equipment they put out, and they use a proprietary operating system (OS). So, they can exclusively put out their equipment with those apps and functionality, and the only way to get it is to buy an Apple product.
However, phones that use the Android platform are coming out and the OS for Android is open source (common platforms, like Linux and Windows for Mobile, and easy for app developers to modify). This means that Android phones will soon have much more functionality than any Apple product and you won’t be stuck with Apple’s crappy apps.
One workaround is when you “jailbreak” an Apple phone, where you hack into the OS code and are able to modify it to accept custom apps that are developed by Apple OS hackers, bypassing Apple’s apps completely.
